You Nutty Girl

Hello Bloggies!!

I’ve been reading blogs for about two years and decided to start my own seeing as I have a lot of down time now that I am a second semester senior. For that reason though, I want to remain annonymous. Maybe after I hear back from all my schools will I reveal myself.

Food

Obviously, I love food. At one time I loved it a little too much. I lost and am maintaining a 30 pound weightloss. I started to feel out of place when I moved to a small town in Connecticut where all the girls were fit n trim. Growing up in Indiana…well they didn’t make fitness/health food a priority like they do here. I lost the weight in about 2 1/2 years through diet & exercise. Plain and simple. No crazy diets or restrictions. I am a firm believer that food is meant to be enjoyed and experienced with loved ones. Never ever will I deprive myself of something I want. I try to eat as healthy as possible; no counting calories, no good/bad foods. Declaring my Dietetics major I am dedicated to a healthy lifestyle, but its all about balance.

Running

Its not a secret. Its my life. I adore running. Some think I run too much/too many miles, but I just go by how my body feels. I run 5 days a week. Never less. Rarely more. I am training for a half marathon in Virginia Beach :] Noting makes me happier than running good ol 13.1 miles. Running is my stress reliever. Sure, rest days our tough, but I know my body needs the recovery days 🙂 My first half marathon time was 2 hours and 1 minute flat.

The Nut Butter Addiction

Man, I hated this stuff as a kid. I refused to eat it. However, I slowly introduced it back into my life after seeing it all over the blogs. & yes, im hooked. I would estimate that I have about 4 tablespoons a day. I just can’t get enough. Good thing its  full of healthy ingredients. I may not have 20 jars…but I do have 8 which constitutes a love in my mind. Cashew Butter will & forever be my favorite in case you were wondering
